CFL Steam locomotive - class 41 (ex T13 A.L.) Only one class 41 locomotive was owned by CFL. Nevertheless the locomotives of the former Prussian class T13 could be seen since 1914 in Luxembourg .The class T13 was a four-coupled tank locomotive with an mass per axle of 15 tons. The idle weight was 46 tons. The T13 used in Luxembourg had been delivered in 1914 to the "Alsace-Lorraine" railways (AL) with numbers 7901-7960. After 1945 three SNCF locomotives (AL 7905, 7922. 7938) and two CFL ones (AL 7920, 7923) in Luxemburg were found in Luxembourg. The CFL included them in class 41: AL 7920 = CFL 4101, AL 7923 = CFL 4102, AL 7905 = CFL 4111, AL 7922 = CFL 4112, AL7938=4113. The locomotive 4101 had never been found (probably destroyed in war). THE MODEL The original of GAR 0259 the locomotive 4102 (ex AL T13 7923) was owned by CFL since 1947, had been build in 1914 and was since 1950 the last T13. She was put out of service on 26.01.1959. The original of GAR 0259+ the locomotive 4111 (ex AL T13 7905) was rented by the SNCF to the CFL. She was build in 1914 and was returned to SNCF at 24.02.and taken out of service.
