4-axels CFL local traffic coach - German type "Silberling"

In the years 1965 and 1967 the CFL acquired  60 passenger coaches for local traffic (B, AB, BD) at the German firm Wegmann in Kassel. These coaches were deduced from the type "Silberling" (Bnb-59 / Bn 719) of the DB. Some details were changed to fit better the conditions on the CFL lines.

From the beginning up to 1984 the vehicles were painted dark green and could run 120 km/h. After 1984 (until today) the are painted green-white and are allowed to run 140 km/h.

During the nineteenth the coached were partially modernized (elimination of asbestos, automatic blockage of the doors, interior). The speed of some coaches was reduced to 120 km/h. Two of them were transformed to bicycle-cars and one gave the only and first dining-car of CFL, the "Rendez-Vous".

THE MODELS

Model of a green coach in the first version (before 1984). Two different numbers are available where the 2nd class logo is between 273 window or between 3rd window/door.

Model of the GAR dining-car "Rendez-Vous" in the first version painted in green-white and with a blue inscription "Rendez-Vous". The coach was delivered as B 51 82 22-10 357 in 1967. From 1985 it became B 50 82 22-40 457 and from 1995 he has the new number (and new design) BR 50 82 84-40 457 (2nd version).
